Today's #WeekendSnapshots is brought to you by the Houston Rodeo, my sister, and this mama that was stressed out and ready to give birth (she more than likely already did!). According to Mama Carrizo, we saw the Rodeo animals together about 22 years ago. I admit that the times I've been there since then, I've only been to the concert or I go straight to the food. I'm not much of a carnival ride person because I'm not trying to die. Not that people die on them, I just can't handle it 😂
Seeing the animals was pretty exciting to me! Now although I love animals, I am not a vegetarian but don't think I haven't considered it. A few years ago my husband showed me a video of how cows are mistreated and then killed. It freaking broke me. I think I lasted a month or so without beef, pork, & chicken. The reason why I went back was because I started to feel a bit weak and I wasn't sleeping right. I believe it was because I wasn't getting those nutrients elsewhere. I've considered doing it again, I just have to find the right mix because you know I love to eat!
This isn't to say that all Houston Rodeo animals are killed or not because I honestly don't know the deal with these animals. I do know that none of them looked to be mistreated or upset. We saw a few steers that were very affectionate towards their handler and that definitely put a smile on my face!

Friday was Saint Patrick's Day so of course I wore my
green shirt (& socks) and drank green beer!
My friend Ana joined me in celebration of Saint Patrick's Day.
Her husband and mine were both in AR with a few other friends on a biking adventure.
Green jello shots were a must!
Mama Carrizo, my sister, and I had to sit separately on the trolly.
It wasn't packed but we didn't want to wait for the next one.
This trolley takes you from the Yellow Parking Lot to the stadium.
Okay, to be honest, we were starving and couldn't wait any longer, haha!
#BoludaSelfie with the lovely Astrodome in the back!
We ordered food from two places but I cannot remember what they were called.
They were both amazing so who cares, right? Haha!
Mama Carrizo hanging out with a little familia!
This Longhorn was ridiculous! I mean, look at his coloring!!
It took me quite a few shots cause he kept moving
from the front to the back of the viewing area, haha!
Sunday milk tea in a Wonder Woman coffee mug I found in
the clearance aisle at HomeGoods because winning!
CHEERS TO THE NEW WEEK!
