The Paper Files | 1

Today I'm sharing a new series called The Paper Files. I got the idea from a series Caylee did on her blog called My week in paper. She collects paper goodies from her week, scans them and shares them. Scanning is good when you're a paper hoarder, like so many of us are. :) Thanks to Connie from Momma of Dos for the great series name <3

I decided to put my own little spin on it and share all types of paper goodies new to my life. I'm really big into journals (although I don't journal as much as I probably should be) so there won't be any scanning on this series. I'm also not sure I'll be keeping the title of this series. I tried so hard to come up with something short & clever but it didn't happen yet. I'm sure it'll come to me when I least expect it like when I'm feeding my kids, stuck in morning traffic (like today) or while picking my nose haha!

Weekend Snapshots | 17

Today's post is brought to you by a a cute succulent family E put together for our kitchen. Mama Carrizo hooked us up and we were going to can the succulents like this post but we had a lot of glass containers from some old flower setups so we used one of those instead. E put big rocks at the bottom and we filled up the gaps with little rocks. Added some soil and our succulents. We then added some leftover little rocks to the top and ta-da, we had a new setup. :)

Finally found a cap for my Sony NEX-3N (affiliate link). I lost it sometime in February and couldn't find one that was at a decent price. Problem with paying too much is that the cap doesn't grip the lens as well as it should. I check it multiple times when I'm out to make sure it's not loose. I figured it may just be my cap, but the Amazon reviews pretty much all said the same. Bummer.

Being the smallest kid in Casa de Reed is tough, just ask Chula, the Chi. She is the smallest yet oldest kid we have. She yelps a lot when she's in the danger zone, a.k.a. Remidog or Finnashit's walking path. She's usually somewhere near me, preferably touching me. She enjoys sleeping in my lap and I don't mind it so much because she hardly weighs anything. She's just 4 freaking pounds!

Blue Bell ice cream removed all their ice cream from stores and although I am grateful and incredibly proud of them for initiating this major move... I freaking miss them & want my cookies n' cream back. Yes, there are a lot of other brands I could go with but it's just not the same..

I received Houstonia's May magazine and the fact that they chose to address breakfast spots in Houston makes me love them even more. I love breakfast! It's my favorite meal and one I could eat three times a day, pretty much every day. There's also a great article about a 4-legged kid from Holland who found himself as part of Houston's homeless dog population.

New neighbors moved in this weekend. They have a rottie and I'm sure you can imagine how excitamated Remidog has been. We couldn't walk into the kitchen without him hopping and skipping in front of us in hopes that we would open the door for him to go outside. This stresses me the hell out because it means an even closer eye needs to be on Remidog because he's a jumper & an asshole with strangers. Sigh.

I finally bought ink & paper (affiliate link) for my SELPHY (affiliate link) which means I've been trying to catch up on my Project Life. I'm about three weeks behind so I'll be rolling those out pretty soon. Woohoo!

Friday Love 04.24.15 | Mother's Day 2015

1 // 2 // 3 // 4 // 5 // 6 // 7

Today I'm sharing some goodies I found for Mother's Day! Yes, it's that time of the year again. Moms all over the country will be showered with mucho love as usual. Remember that this day isn't just for the lady who birthed you, but for the folks (male/female) that have showed you the type of love moms are known for.

Art - Kids everywhere can relate to this print. Moms are not to be messed with when they are hangry. It's a fact. Hell, even folks who aren't moms should make you cautious too.  Haha!

Deco - These little pears from Etsy have been in my favorites since forever. I swear I'm going to hook my mama up one day! I think they are stinking adorable!

Candle - My mom is a candle fanatic like I am. Her favorite fragrance since forever has been Gardenia. Every time we hit Marshalls or HomeGoods, we search the aisles for Gardenia candles.

Mug - Moms need coffee. Lots of it. No matter what age they are. It gets them going when there's a crapload of things on their plate. I think this mug will definitely bring a huge smile to any mama.

Trinket Dish - Moms like jewelry and this is perfect for it. She can keep it on her night stand, dresser or even near her bathroom sink. It's a cute dish that keeps her favorite bling (possibly given to her by you) safe & in one place.

Kitchen Deco - Admit it, you've said or thought the words on this towel multiple times. I know I have. There's a reason why moms are so awesome. They just know everything!

Card - Gifts are cool and all but the card is where its at. My mom would laugh so freaking hard at this card but not all moms would be down for this. Haha! I think cards have the potential of getting any mama emotional so please don't forget to get or make a card.

Have a fantastical weekend!

Weekend Snapshots | 16

Today's post (rather tonight's post) is brought to you by the marathon my husband was in over the weekend. He was a part of the two day BP MS150 bike marathon from Houston to Austin by the National MS Society. Due to the rain, the first day was cancelled and my husband was among many that were incredibly sad about it. But day two was amazing and really made the storm look like a punk!

This is the second MS150 marathon he's been in and the first one I attended. I can't even begin to explain how affected my feels were throughout the entire day and I didn't even ride. This ride is the largest event of it's kind in North America with 13,000 cyclists, 3,500 volunteers and countless spectators along the route and at the finish line in Austin. The 2-day ride is a 180-mile journey that starts in Houston and ends in Austin. That's right, they start in Houston and finish in Austin. Effing CRAZY!!

I was so touched by this event that I told my husband that I think I'd like to train in hopes of riding next year. I'm not sure if he took my seriously. TBH, I'm not sure I took myself seriously. Haha! We all know how lazy and non-active I am but this event did something to me. I am currently ISO a bike. A good light one that's cheap. Wish me luck!

We were lucky enough to stay at the Hyatt Regency Lost Pines Resort in Lost Pines, Texas. Middle of freaking nowhere type resort. It was refreshing to be out there with clear air that was filled with bugs. Haha! No, it was truly a great experience. This resort is like its own little town with delicious dining, huge fire pits, pools, Starbucks, golfing and a freaking ice cream parlor! I'm so ready for next year!!

One of the highlights from the Reedasaurus Adventure yeah, I not only called it that but I hashtagged it, HA! was seeing my good friend, Jessica. She lives in Austin and its been quite a while since I've seen her. Like many of my good friends, I met Jessica online through a mutual friend. I later met her in person and our friendship has massively grown. She's a dog lover too! She's good people and I know it's completely true because she hung out in the heat with me during the MS150. The struggle was ridiculously real Sunday!

The fourth picture from the bottom is probably one of my favorite pictures from the resort. We didn't spend much time there during the day because of the event but at night it was so beautiful. This shot was taken with my husband's iPhone 6+ and it's most definitely not the best picture, but it's grainy and I love the lighting in the trees.

The very last picture is of my husband's company team, Team Mostyn Law. These folks did a fantastical job raising and riding for the cause. So proud to have met these folks! See ya next year!

Best part about all of this is that the fundraising isn't over. If you'd like to make a donation and read why my husband, Elliott, rode this year.. Please visit this link.

Sponsored | SNICKERS® Who are you when you're Hungry

Disclosure: This shop has been compensated by Collective Bias, Inc. and its advertiser. All opinions are mine alone. #WhenImHungry #CollectiveBias
It's true, I am definitely not myself when I'm hungry and I find myself apologizing to those around me quite often. Mostly my husband. My poor, poor husband.

I can get very cranky and down right rude if it's been too long since I've fed my belly. It kind of has a mind of it's own. My belly that is. I'm sure you know what I mean and if it's not you, you might have someone in your family (or a friend) that gets pretty nasty when they haven't had something to eat. We've all seen the hilarious commercials right?

The happy-not-cranky Reeds :)

I have a really bad habit of going to events, family/friend gatherings (that don't involve food. How cruel right?) and the grocery store without eating first. Going to the grocery store on an empty stomach is probably the meanest thing I've ever done to my belly. It's like I'm taunting it and I'm sure the noises coming from my belly is of some weird language where my belly isn't being very nice.

In comes SNICKERS® and its life changing ways! No really, it is life changing even the little bites are. Which is why the last time I hit Krogers up, I bought the SNICKERS® fun size bags as a backup for those cranky moments. The fun size bags are found in the Candy/Chip aisle and super duper easy to find. If you just want a bar, regular sized or large, you can find those near the front registers. Be warned though, the smaller the bites, the more you will eat!

Below you'll find my must haves. Keys, wallet, sunglasses and SNICKERS® are a must. Wait, lip gloss too Haha! I'm sure you can relate to my belly hunger and have had an amazing experience with SNICKERS® and it's tastiness. Care to share a story?

Enter the SNICKERS® "Who are you when you're hungry?" contest by uploading a personal photo or video from your Computer, Facebook, Instagram or use the SNICKERS® Meme Generator to create something new! Voting begins at Noon on 5/11/15 and ends at 11:59:59AM ET on 7/15/15.

See more great SNICKERS® recipes and fun stories on the SNICKERS® social hub.

Note: I made the cut out in the first picture with my Silhouette Portrait. If you have a Silhouette and would like a chance to download, please go here. It will open in Google Drive and will not show a preview but it will download correctly. Please let me know if you have any problems.

Weekend Snapshots | 15

Today's post is brought to you by my husband and I. We attended a Pedal Party for the first time and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. We celebrated E's best friend Vin's birthday and the memories made (along with all of the hilarious pictures) will forever be cherished. I mean.. we sang, we danced, we drank, we cheered, and we laughed.. all while peddling. Who would have thought it would be so much fun to pedal haha!

If you've never been to a Pedal Party you have no idea what you're missing out on. Yes, my butt and legs are still sore today (Pedal Party happened Saturday) but it was all freaking worth it. There is a bench in the back for those who don't want to pedal and a seat on each side with no pedals. Our Captain's name was Yuri and he was freaking good. He kept us all super pumped and excited while still following all the rules.

E was on doggy sitting duties this weekend, which is a total win for me cause duh! I love dogs! A real German Shepherd. I say real because this kid was actually born and raised in Germany. He even takes his commands in German. This kids head is massive and the size of his paws are unbelievable. He's madly in love with his Kong just like our boys are so we made sure to toss it around and frolic with him outside.

Vin's wife brought a Fujifilm Instax Camera that we all got a chance to play with. The pictures are truly some of the best I've seen and I think it's because we weren't thinking about the filters and the angles. We just took the picture and didn't think much about the outcome. Thankfully, they all came out awesome! I doubt they will ever be shared, think about it like the pictures from The Hangover, haha! I did get a chance to find one of me throwing up two thumbs up and another one of the cutest little kid I've seen since Finn! HarperCakes! She is Vin & Becca's new foster-pup-they-will-probably-keep LOL! I don't blame them. You can't see her face cause she is such a wiggle butt but she's super affectionate and oh so soft!

The last shot is of our second stop on the Pedal Party. Houston has become a very dog friendly city in the last few years and it makes me so freaking proud to call it my city! Restaurants, pubs and coffee shops are very welcoming when it comes to 4-legged kids! Most of the time they'll give you a water bowl and have snacks on the menu for dogs. Love my city!

Netflix Original Series | Unbreakable Kimmy

Today I'm sharing a Netflix show you've gotta put on your queue. Comedy and action shows are my thang. Occasionally you'll catch me watching a drama/mystery but it has to be really good for me to get into it. My husband is currently watching Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D and I can't figure out why I'm not into it. I love superheroes and such but this show just doesn't do it for me... yet.

Weekend Snapshots | 14

Today's post is brought to you by the good life my kids are obviously living. I imagine that being a dog in a loving home is probably one of the best feelings in the world. Remidog had a rough start to his life but he's been living the dream since he became a part of our pack. Finnashit on the other hand has no idea what rough means. He showed up in a box at our door and went straight to being spoiled. Ahh, the life of a loved dog..

My Saturday began like most Saturdays do. With a cold & wet nose straight in my eye socket. Sometimes it's Finn and sometimes its Remi. They never fail me though. The picture after the cut is pretty grainy but you get the point.

After the rude wake up call, I got up and went to Mama Carrizo's casa. The plan was to clean up her front yard, tis the season. We went to Home Depot and picked up a ton of curvy looking bricks and lots of soil. When we talked about doing this the other day, it didn't sink in how labor intensive it would be. I may be skinny but I is 100% out of shape. And although I'm not old, I can definitely feel 31. #dontjudgeme

The Sugar Land manhole is from inside Home Depot. Mama Carrizo was off doing I don't know what while I loaded the damn cart with the curvy bricks when I caught the manhole shot. This happened Saturday and my arms are still sore from all the digging and lifting. We took long breaks because we're both chatter boxes shrugs but when it was all said and done... the front yard looks a hell of a lot better and I'm proud to say Mama Carrizo and I worked on this together!

Last shot after the cut is of Mama Carrizo being a dork! She's too freaking awesome and I love the bond we have, especially now that I'm older. I see myself in her a lot lately and it cracks me up. She's a fantastical BFF!

No Easter pictures because we really didn't do anything this year. Folks were working or sick so we all stayed our lazy asses at home. No biggie, I'm a major homebody.

Friday Love | Paper Source 04.03.15

1 // 2 // 3 // 4 // 5 // 6

Today I'm sharing goodies from one of my favorite stores, Paper Source! Since there's not a lot of extra cash hanging out in my wallet lately, I figured some online window shopping wouldn't be too bad. These are six things I'm crushing on :)

You are so loved: I'm crushing on this art print because it puts a smile on my face. Motivational art prints are fantastical for your casa. Especially in your bedroom since art in this room will be seen first thing in the morning and last when you fall asleep.

Dammit Doll: I'm crushing on this doll because we all have those bad days. The Dammit Doll is okay with punching, pinching, pulling, throwing, squeezing and many more things! It's a great frustration reliever haha!

Gold Journal: I'm crushing on this journal because it's Kate Spade duh! and it's gold! I don't normally gravitate towards gold paper goodies but now that the trend has been around for a while, I think it might be growing on me.

Trinket Dish: I'm crushing on this dish because it's a sweet reminder of how special you are. The fox is adorable and the dish is small enough to not take a lot of room, yet big enough to hold your jewelry.

Hello Sunshine: I'm crushing on this iPhone 5 case because its bright!. I'm pretty sure I don't own anything yellow, clothes wise or gadget wise. This would be a good change to Shanks, my iPhone, because yellow is a warm and cheerful color. Not sure I'm ready to give up my Donut case yet though..

Tea Towel: I'm crushing on this tea towel because DONUTS! I think it would be hilarious to have this in my Kitchen. I found that Paper Source has a number of Donut goodies for anyone who loves donuts! I couldn't help it and added this and this to my wishlist :)

Have a fantastical weekend & Happy Easter!

Target does it again | Divided Containers for $1

Today I'm sharing these little boxes I found at Target in the Dollar Spot. If you too are under Target's spell, you are probably very familiar with the Dollar Spot. I always stop here first when I hit a Target up. It's a must. A tradition meant to be passed down from generation to generation. Haha!

The Dollar Spot is perfect for paper lovers because they have all sorts of goodies. Sticky notes, calendars, greeting cards and cute paper clips. It's also great for kids. I've bought some Batman goodies and even Paul Frank.
