Weekend Snapshots | 13

Today's post is brought to by the Finnashit & the reason why we can't have nice things. Sigh There will never be a Weekend Snapshots that doesn't include Finnashit. It's inevitable because he is a pain in my ass & is constantly doing something that needs to be documented. When he sleeps, he looks like such a sweet kid and yet somehow manages to mutilate all toys in his path when he is awake. Well, toys & shit he knows he's not supposed to like the couch cushions. He looked genuinely sorry for doing it when he was scolded but we all know he's probably going to do it again. There is nothing wrong with dog shaming in my book haha! See, it's why we can't have nice things. Sigh

I'm enjoying the beautiful roses in Casa de Reed's backyard. They are a little out of control & we don't mind it. The previous owners lined them down the back of the house and they can be seen from the Master bedroom and my office. They also planted some flowers with pretty colors in the front of the casa. They are blooming like crazy and also look a little out of control haha!

The weekend skies were glorious in Houston! I think it rained Saturday morning (or was it Sunday morning?) but I was asleep so whatevs! I think we were in the late 70's if not at 80 degrees with nice breezes here and there.

It took 31 years but my insides match my outsides now haha! I can officially say that I'm a Mac & it feels stupendous! E & I had been debating it for some time now because my Dell was acting like a whiny little girl & I was pretty much done with Vista. So what did my husband do? He surprised me with a Mac Mini for my birthday! It's taking some getting used to but I'm super duper happy with it!! Yes I said stupendous & super duper. #dontjudgeme

Ari Stumbles | 2

StumbleUpon continues to keep me entertained :) Here are a few links that I enjoyed this week!

Ever heard of rechargeable LED corks? Me either but this idea with old bottles is pretty cool!

For $65 you can get a custom portrait stamp. That means you can put your face on a rubber stamp. Not sure how often I'd use it but seeing someone's face on my snail mail would be priceless haha!

Make your own dinosaur corn on the cob holders.

Writers, keep this vocabulary wheel handy.

I'm not a big fan of white comforters on my bed cause I'd go all OCD on it when it got dirty but this would be a sweet print for a duvet on any bed.

True love is more then just a feeling. It's an action too. This short film will probably make ya cry but it's truly beautiful.

Can you believe it's been 25 years since Pretty Woman was released? The cast gets together again to share some laughs about the movie.

These folks made a giant portrait camera for 10 bucks.

This GIF of a French Bulldog jumping off a sofa into his humans hands is too damn cute!

And one more cause I saw it today and couldn't resist sharing even though I'm not a fan of Izzy's music... Sean Hayes & husband lip-sync to Izzy Azalea/Jennifer Hudson's Trouble & are pretty spot on!!

2 days left on the Land O'Lakes giveaway. Go see for a chance to win a $35 gift card + butter spreader. Check it out here along with the Cinnamon Pork tacos recipe! Good luck & have a great weekend!!

Birthday | 10 Things you didn't know about me!

Today's birthday post is brought to you by the always hilarious Kevin Hart! Today I turn 31 and I'm not as excitamated about it as say the 10 year old me, but it's still an exciting day! It's amazing to look back at last years birthday and notice the changes in my life. Some good and some really bad but I am who I am and I wouldn't change any of it for anything!

Here are 10 things you probably didn't know about me.

1. I am a very slow eater which is probably why I eat a lot haha!

2. I speak English & Spanish to my 4-legged kids which makes them bilingual like me :)

3. I don't like coffee, hot or cold. I'm not a fan of hot beverages

4. I take a pill everyday for acid reflux :(

5. I had braces in high school

6. I'm not a big fan of cake frosting which is why I prefer cheesecakes for my birthdays ;)

7. I've lived in Texas since I was five

8. I like to sleep on my chest with no pillow

9. I have a strong Argentinian accent when I speak Spanish around my family

10. I'm 5'2, 5'3 on a good day LOL!

Cheers to another year! <3

Project Life | Wk 11

Today I'm sharing Week 11 of Project Life. I changed it up in colors as you can tell. The B&W background is still my favorite but this minty color was calling my name so I went with it. It was a good week for the most part. Spent time with my kids, cooked with Mama Carrizo and attended a friends wedding party!

I'm still behind a week but like I've said before, it's all good cause no one is grading me on this. My pace is as good as it's going to get. :)

Are you doing Project Life too?!

Weekend Snapshots | 12

Today's post is brought to you by Finnashit and bath time! My kids don't like bath time and I don't quite understand it cause who doesn't want to get a sweet massage by their human plus run around like a crazy fool after the bath? Actually, Finnashit loves bath time. We know this because he loves giving besos like there's no tomorrow. <3

So I skipped last week's Weekend Snapshots. No biggie though because the pics will be in my PL from that week! Excited to share that with you this week :)

E & I discovered a recipe for a Southwestern Casserole. I swear I had it bookmarked & now I can't find it. Anyways, E tweaked it a bit and it's glorious! What does it consist of? Corn, brown rice, black beans, chicken tenders coated with egg & Ritz crackers. Baked for what seems like foreverrr and then we add Ranch, Rudy's sissy sauce and some fritos. And then it's face hole time!!!

Remidog isn't a fan of bath time as you can see. He throws his mean mug like it's going to be the last day on earth. Not only does he mean mug but he gives us the cold shower afterwards. There's no besos no affection whatsoever. Leana Little does the same. What's even funnier is that he doesn't show us any love until about an hour after the bath haha!

E & Finnashit have been sleeping/cuddling together since Finnashit arrived. It warms the shizzle out of my heart to see my boys sleeping together so comfortably! See this post from May 2014 where they are sleeping together and Finnashit is only a few months old.

Breakfast at the Reed Casa is always ridic. E knows I LOVE breakfast! I could literally eat it three times a day, every day! It's my favorite meal of the day and I could never get tired of it.

Remidog takes the best portrait shots! He's a bit of a camera whore sometimes and how can I say no to this face. He has the sweetest brown eyes full of so much love of appreciation! It's those brown eyes that caught my attention when he rescued us!

#AriStumbles | 1

Today I'm sharing a new series. It will be very similar to last year's Link Line-Up but with a new name. I recently started using StumbleUpon again. According to my profile, I've been a member since 2010 and the latest update was Oct. '14. I remember being really into it at first & even downloaded the Stumble bar for whatever browser I was using at the time (probably Chrome). I don't know what kept me from continuing to "stumble" but it's been fantastical finding new reads. Check out some of the links that caught my attention this week.

A colorful DIY tin can garden on a backyard fence.

Need more storage in your bathroom shower? Add an extra shower rod to the back with a few "S" hooks. So easy and yet something like this never crossed my mind haha!

Every blogger should have this HTML cheat sheet bookmarked!

Colorful idea for succulents. You can also spray paint your tin can like the first link above.

A notebook that saves your doodles & erases after a microwave experience.

20 secret tips everyone who shops on Amazon needs to know.

This sign is pretty damn awesome!

These photos of children from around the world with their favorite toys will have you feeling some type of way.

15 awesome GIF's showing dogs saying "I'm so glad you're home!"

50 kitchen tricks to help you become a Master Chef. Okay, probably not. But these are pretty genius.

Land O'Lakes $35 gift card + butter spreader giveaway is still happening. Check it out here along with the Cinnamon Pork tacos recipe! Good luck!!

Project Life | Wk 10

Today I'm sharing Week 10 of my Project Life. I used some chipboard letters, thickers, & my fav me & my BIG ideas clear stickers. I've been doing a lot of black & white and I kept that up here but added small color here and there aside from the colorful pictures.

I'm currently behind a week gasp but it's okay. The fact that I've made it this far is impressive so it's all good to fall behind. I am still very determined to do Project Life for the rest of the year and pretty damn excitamated to get to look back on this for years to come.

Sponsored | Tasty Tacos using Land O'Lakes Butter+Giveaway

Disclosure: I received a toaster/oven, $25 gift card and a butter spreader from Land O’Lakes in connection with this post. All opinions are my own.

Today's post is brought to you by Land O'Lakes butter. I made tacos de puerco guisados con canela (Cinnamon pork tacos) with this tasty butter. As you may or may not already know, I'm not really into cooking. I get a little frustrated during the process but then end up extremely excited to eat haha! The recipes I can cook are pretty basic and don't have many ingredients. So when I was contacted for this post, I was a little hesitant but I was very interested in the addition of Cinnamon to pork tacos. I called Mama Carrizo and asked her if she'd be down to help so that I'd have an experienced cooker by my side!
Great giveaway and coupon for everyone following the cut. :)

Project Life | Wk 9

Today I'm sharing Week 9 of my Project Life 2015. I continued the black and white theme with the color on my photos. The journaling (censored) is sufficient for me but I feel like the entire spread is missing something. I added dates on most of the pictures with the Heidi Swapp's Roller Date Stamp and even though I really love the stamp, I don't feel like the placement of them worked out on this spread. Yup, still need to work on date placement.

Weekend Snapshots | 10

Today's post is brought to you by my awesomesauce mama! I spent Friday afternoon and Saturday afternoon with her and my two sisters. My oldest sister will be heading back to Argentina soon so we're spending as much time together as we can. Mama Carrizo is actually not throwing up the deuce in the above picture. She went in this store to check out the price on the red vest behind her and found out it was $200, hence the two fingers and her shocked face. Haha!

I don't normally include Friday in my Weekend Snapshots series but we saw Cirque du Soleil's AmaLuna so I must share. I saw my first Cirque de Soleil show 4 years ago for my birthday with E. We saw OVO and I loved the colors and the crazy talent on the stage but I think AmaLuna knocked that one out of the park. AmaLuna had talent like I've never seen. I definitely recommend you check it out and lucky for you, AmaLuna will be in Houston until March 22nd!!

After some shopping at the Houston Premium Outlet Stores (which we all know does not actually have outlet prices and is not in Houston but Cypress), we hit Chili's up for some drinks and snacks. It was late and the four of us were pooped. I tried a Triple Berry Margarita recommended by my sister and snacked the hizzie out of some artichoke dip.

I brought my fisheye lens back out this weekend to see what kind of comedy I could get from it. We did a lot of selfies through the front camera with the lens. This meant I had to hold the phone and the lens on the front facing camera. People at Cirque du Soleil kept asking us if we wanted them to take our picture haha! Front cameras aren't the best quality but they are funner to play with.

My mom+sisters spent a couple days in San Marcos at a resort Mama Carrizo has. They hit up the Outlet there and hooked me up with the grey Puma sweater you see after the cut. I was modeling it for them and someone photobombed me with their tail. Can you guess who it is? :)

We finally hung our TV up in our bedroom. We weren't sure if that's what we wanted to do but we finally made up our mind and E made it happen. It's taking some getting used to but it makes us feel all fancy pants, haha! The last shot is of Finn being a bugaboo as usual and having to lay his butt on me while I read on the couch. Mama's boy for sure!

Thrift Finds | 1 of '15

Today I'm sharing some Thrift Finds from yesterday. I haven't had much luck lately & it bums me out. I'm not comfortable with the way thrift stores have been pricing their goodies lately. It used to be affordable but now that everyone and their mama is shopping at thrift stores, it seems like the prices are getting jacked way up. What bothers me even more is that some of these stores receive their goodies as a donation so in reality there's no need to jack the price up because they are making a profit regardless. Damn politics.

I found that Goodwill's in my area still have decent prices so I bookmark their location or write a small note in my iPhone about them. This is a really good tip when thrifting. You don't want to forget that a particular store smelled like ass, had broken locks on the doors in the fitting room, badass little kids were running amuck, or that the prices were ri-DONK-ulous.

Wednesday Fotos+Words | ThriveBlogCon

credit: Momma of Dos

Thrive was started by two Houston bloggers (Whitney blogs at "The Observant Turtle" and Bree blogs at "The Thing About Joy") who wanted to create a place where bloggers could come and be inspired, motivated, and learn how to make their blog Thrive!
In the blogging world there is so much competition and too many "to-do" lists. Thrive was created to get rid of the competition between bloggers, and to encourage bloggers to work together! At the Thrive Conference, competition is removed and friends are made. Everyone works together as a team to learn how to grow the blogging industry together, and to support each other. When one blogger thrives, all bloggers Thrive!

Thrive Conference 2015 is a Friday Night Celebration and a jam packed day on Saturday. We want everyone to grow together, and learn together, so we have decided to keep everyone in one room! That's right. All of the sessions will be in one room together, so no one will miss out on a session. By having everyone in one room, we are encouraging networking, sharing ideas, and growing together! - Thrive Blogger Conference

Weekend Snapshots | 9

Today's post is brought to you by Graffiti and Donuts. Art&Food, mm! Shanks was upgraded from colorful graffiti to colorful donuts this weekend. I attended the Thrive Blogger Conference in The Woodlands and met Rongrong Devoe. She had lots and lots of her creative goodies there for sale and I couldn't pass up the opportunity to buy a case and take a picture with her. It was either the donuts case or the macaroon case, but since I still haven't tried macaroon's.. I went with nomtastic donuts. Team iPhone 5 until I'm forced to upgrade.

Speaking of the Thrive Blogger Conference, it was this weekend! My friend Connie (Momma of Dos) and I made our little road trip to The Woodlands for it. She's the one cheesing on the third picture below. It was great to meet new people & hug old friends. It's crazy how much there is to learn about the blogger community. So many talented and interesting people who want to motivate you & inspire you to be the best you that you can be!

Friday night I found the fish eye lens that I was sure I had lost for Shanks. Photojojo doesn't sell this lens anymore but they have this which is very similar, if not better. When I found it, it seemed like perfect timing since the conference was Saturday. The first picture after the link is of the ceiling in the conference room of the hotel we were in. Don't ask me why but the picture makes me giggle every time I look at it haha!

After the conference I met E at his bossman's casa to head to the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo Cookoff. We haven't been in a few years so it was nice to taste the fantastical meat haha! We had sausage, brisket and chicken! All delicious with a side of beans and my favorite, pickle slices! The only bad part about the night was the weather. It was super duper cold and a bit drizzly. I swear I was shaking so much that I now have a sweet 6-pk LOL!

March has arrived and I am stoked! I'll be 31 this month and although getting older isn't the best thing in the world, I'm grateful to still be here annoying the shizzle out of my husband and five dogs!!
