Today I'm sharing Week 8 of my Project Life. I have to be honest with you and tell you that I am pretty shocked & happy that I am still keeping up with this. And not just keeping up with it, but I am on schedule too. One page instead of two really makes a difference. Or at least for me it does. Like I said before, it's not as overwhelming.
This week I kept it super simple with the colors. I used my favorite core kit, Midnight Edition. I don't think I've told you but this is the best kit when it comes to keeping it simple. The colors are minimal which means your colored pictures will stand out more. Because the colors are minimal, you're not overly excited to want to use them all at once, haha! This is the first kit I bought when I bought my 12x12 binder. As you can tell, my blog is pretty much black and white with a hint of color in my pictures. I dress the same way. My gadgets are all black and even my car is black. I like black and white because it matches everything. You can't go wrong.

The best part of keeping it super-duper simple is that I was able to use the me & my BIG ideas stickers again. I'm really digging the "digital" feel they add to pictures. I added the words "is my" above favorite because that photograph really is one of my favorites. So much so that it's on our refrigerator. Selfies with Finnashit are a work in progress. We will get a fantastical one someday.
My older sister is in town for a month from Argentina. My journaling shares how we love to take her to eat to our favorite places every time she comes up here. This weeks visit included my all-time favorite sushi spot -> Japaneiro's Sushi Bistro & Latin Grill in Sugar Land. It is freaking legit!! Take a picture there and upload it to IG or FB and you get a fried Oreo for FREE!
I used the Pebbles Roller Stamp to add the 8's to the top of the This Week card. I didn't think alpha stickers would complete this the right way for me. The me & my BIG ideas stickers kit has numbers that I could have used but I felt this was a bit more creative. Plus, I don't use the Pebbles stamp as much as I'd like. The palm tree is in my backyard. Casa de Reed has five, yes FIVE, palm trees. It wouldn't be so bad if they didn't need some maintenance.. neither of us is interested in climbing up there. Not to mention, I think it's pretty dangerous LOL!
Lots of food in this week's PL. Delish turkey sammich from the Brown Bag Deli and a spectacular crepe from Sweet Paris in CityCentre. If you've never had a crepe, you're totally missing out. I like mine to be sweet but since taking this picture, I've had a chance to eat a chicken enchilada crepe. Ah-mazing!
I used the Picture Perfect sticker on the family selfie because it really is a perfect picture. Perfect in the way that it really isn't perfect. Does that make sense? LOL! I took a lot of shots and this is the only one that at least had our faces in it. Jay and Chula are somewhere in the living room sleeping their asses off on the couch. Lucky bitches!
What is Project Life? Project Life is a memory-keeping system created by Becky Higgins. You use pictures with some journaling for each week of the year for an entire year. This is my second year (does last year even count?) doing PL & I'm excited to follow through.. I organize my PL journaling cards by size, 3x4 or 6x4, not by who makes them. I do all my paper crafting goodies this way. Because of this, I won't be able to break each item down to the brand. But if I remember, I remember, haha!
