Woohoo! It's week 4 and I think I have a good thing going here. The plan this year was to do one week on a single page rather than two pages. Not as time consuming or overwhelming, yanno. That was the only plan I had for this years PL, heh! But last Sunday I decided that I would add to that plan by dedicating an hour or two every Sunday for the rest of the year. Before I know it, I'll have a full year of PL with fantastical memories!
I'm also sticking with one or two colors as my base for the layout and add-ons. I tried going crazy with random colors/themes last year but it didn't work for me so I'm going to stick with what I know. I'm sure all of this will change as the weeks go by and I experiment with ideas from the interwebs. :)
I used Studio Calico's rise & shine stamp on some leftover yellow paper, cut it out, and used adhesive dots to have it pop out. Wth is my mother doing?! LOL! I did the same thing two other times. I used them because they looked sad in my stash cart, haha! I'm going to try using them more often so they'll cheer up. No but really, what is she doing? LOL!
Thanks to my fantastical photo skills LOL! you can totally see the adhesive dots on the Hamsa necklace picture. I used another Studio Calico stamp on that same yellow paper and added the sad dots on my familia's selfie too. Added some journaling with the meaning of the Hamsa and moved on.
Babygirl Jay got a sticker and two pretty orange gems, again from Studio Calico cause I freaking love y'all. The Today sticker is from a sticker pack by Simple Stories. I don't normally care if the corners are round or not but for this layout I went ahead and used Fiskars Corner Punch to round the pictures and pretty paper.
Found the perfect card in my paper stash and rolled with it. I added numbers to each weekday and thanks to this picture I noticed I forgot Saturday and Tuesday's date. shrugs I kept the journaling short and sweet because the pictures are self explanatory. I don't want to use PL as my "diary" or a full break down of each week. Simple and straight to the point for me, yanno.
Weekly selfies for 2015's Project Life and if ya don't like it.. too damn bad!!
I am in no way a selfie queen. I swear it. I don't take too many pictures of myself because.. well, I don't really have a reason. I just don't. LOL! But I'm going to add one selfie a week for the rest of the year. I think it'll be cool to see the changes in me.. hair cuts and funny faces of course, haha!
Adding my mom & sister to the selfie is a major plus because we do weird faces like this. Seriously, look at my mom. What is she doing?! I swear we laughed at her weird look for a good five minutes. LOL!
What is Project Life? Project Life is a memory-keeping system created by Becky Higgins. You use pictures with some journaling for each week of the year for an entire year. This is my second year (does last year even count?) doing PL & I'm excited to follow through.. I organize my PL journaling cards by size, 3x4 or 6x4, not by who makes them. I do all my paper crafting goodies this way. Because of this, I won't be able to break each item down to the brand. But if I remember, I remember, haha!
