Friday Love 06.27.14 | Summer DIY

Today's Friday Love is dedicated to the Summer. Summer time means games, drinks and bright colors. I put 7 Summer DIY that are pretty basic and useful for the summer. I'm really interested in doing these one day. Some of the supplies needed for these are things you already have in your home so it's not only simple to make but it's cheap too. Who doesn't like cheap?! :)

Enjoy your weekend!

Kate Spade 2015 Planner | Eek!!

If you don't already know, I heart Kate Spade and all of her goodies. At the beginning of this year, I went on a search for a Kate Spade planner. Bre from Brewrites.com posted a picture of her planner on Instagram and my mission to find one began. Unfortunately, I was not able to find any because everyone and their dog bought one. :( I let it go and found me another planner that I wasn't too happy about, but it got the job done.

Instasale Auction | First Round

Picture taken be me inside a City of Houston Building.
I woke up on Saturday morning with a mission. The mission was to clean out my scrapbook goodies. I have way more than I use or need and I figured I'd share the love by doing an Instagram auction. I've never done one so I'm hoping folks are gentle on me and actually bid.

Here's how it works: If you see something you like, you comment with your bid and your PayPal email address. When the auction is over, the highest bidder will receive an invoice from me. If invoice is not paid within 24 hrs, the second highest bidder wins. Sounds simple enough right?! What isn't sold in the first round will most likely be moved into another round.

Opening bid includes shipping and I'm only shipping in the US. Shipping internationally is a bit of hassle and I feel like international buyers will end up paying way more in shipping.

First round of this auction started last night (06.22.14) and will end Wednesday (06.25.14) at 5pm CST. Second round to start soon.

The first round of this auction is stamps. Clear stamps, self-inking stamps and wooden stamps.

Visit my instasale auction at @3twentysixshop on Instagram & spread the word!

Weekend Snapshots | Finn's Shenanigans

The Finnster & I went on a road trip Friday afternoon. It was his first road trip and thankfully he slept the entire ride (almost 4 hours). If he wasn't sleeping in the seat next to me, he was sleeping on my lap. He's still a puppy so it makes sense that he would sleep the entire trip. Where were we headed you ask?! We were headed back to Kingsland, Texas to meet up with E for the weekend. He was there a couple days before us working on some things at the lake house. The plan wasn't to join him but at the last minute we decided I would head out there with the Finnster.

Temporary Tattoos

Temp Tattoos

temporary tattoo is a non-permanent image on the skin resembling a real tattoo. Temporary tattoos can be drawn, painted, or airbrushed as a form of body painting.

Temp tattoos have changed a lot in the last few years. There's all sorts of designs now, nothing like when I was a kid. The ones that were available were the ones from the 25 cent machines at restaurants or corner stores. I'd beg my mom for one and she'd be hesitant at first but then she'd hook me up. I'd wear it like I was a complete badass and when my friends asked if it was real.. of course I'd say yes. LOL!

The temp tats I found above are all from Etsy because Etsy is the shizzle and I love helping small businesses out. They are no where near 25 cents but you have to keep in mind that folks spent their time and energy making these themselves. Also, like the owl tat up there, it's not an easy task.

Temp tats normally come with instructions but if you've never had one and were curious, below are some simple instructions for ya that I found online.

To Apply:
1. Remove the thin transparent top sheet and discard. Making sure that the skin is clean and dry.
2. Place the design face down, onto the desired area and place a wet cloth firmly onto the paper.
3. Hold for at least 30 seconds and then gently slide the paper off.
Enjoy your new tattoo!

To Remove:
Using a cotton wool pad or ball soaked with baby oil or rubbing alcohol, place on the tattoo for 10 seconds and then rub until removed.

There are all sorts of DIY temp tattoos you can find online, Pinterest helps a lot. Here's one I found by Victoria at A Subtle Revelry, she recommends tracing paper to make one. Her How-To is pretty simple to follow so I'm sure anyone can pull it off. There are also inks you can buy to draw a temp tattoo. I kind of like the idea of making it myself with tracing paper or buying one of these nifty ones.. to each their own.

Happy Hump Day!

Weekend Snapshots | Summer is here!

Summer started with a freaking bang! We spent the weekend at E's bossman's casa by the lake. We were shocked to see such an amazing pool with not one but three waterfalls. When we weren't hanging out at the pool, we were on the boat enjoying the good breeze. When we weren't doing that, you know we were stuffing our faces with nomtastic grub!
