My attempt at taking a picture of the Batmobile didn't come out so well LOL! This kind of tells you how we spent our time at Comicpalooza. I didn't get as many pictures as I would have liked.. I blame it on all the fun I was having. Comicpalooza definitely did not disappoint this year. I'd like to thank Brenda at Hello Houston Media for hooking 3twentysix up with tickets and an awesome 4pk of tickets giveaway.

I recently discovered Vinted.com and I've been buying, selling and swapping like crazy. You can do all of this on the site or on your smart phone. It reminds me a lot of thrifting.. online thrifting! You can make offers on items or swap one of your items for someone else's. Everyone is super polite and helpful!
I like that Vinted handles the money and shipping/tracking for you. You add pictures for your item and as much info as you can provide about it. Add a price and the shipping, which is determined by weight. Once someone purchases one of your goodies, Vinted emails you a shipping label and holds the items money until the buyer has received their purchase. Put the label on the package and put it out for USPS to pick up. Pretty simple and it works out great for both sides because you know exactly what's going on at all times.

I've been slacking on my memory keeping. Sigh. I'm currently working on Week 8 (Feb 17th - Feb 23rd) and it's almost the end of May. There's no rules (yes, I have to keep reminding myself) so it's not a big deal. I added all my photos to flickr for easier viewing. I'll post a couple shots on here but the rest will be over there.

For Mother's Day, I hooked my mom up with a custom made pillow. Well, the wording was custom.. the pillow itself, not so much LOL! E & I are all about that team work so of course he'd be helping me out. Mostly because he's more artsy than I am and his tracing skills would be mucho better. I got the idea for this while searching Mother's Day gifts on Etsy. I even used it for my blog post here. I think custom made work is beautiful and can definitely be time consuming. Sometimes a bit pricey as well. What I loved most about this project was that I knew my mama would appreciate it so much more knowing that her kids made it for her.

Yesterday was Mama's day and the celebration was pretty short. Both my mom & sister worked so we didn't get to meet until 8ish last night. My sister & I surprised mom at her job with gifts and chocolate goodies. E made Chocolate Avocado Mousse for his mom and had lots and lots of leftovers. It never crossed my mind to mix avocados with chocolate and yet it was surprisingly tasty. It kind of tasted like chocolate pudding, except it wasn't as rich. He got the idea from a coworker & made one for her to try. If you haven't already had some, I definitely recommend ya making it.

Mother's Day Gifts by ariana-shankasaurus on Polyvore
Mother's Day is this weekend. I always have a hard time getting my mom gifts and it's not because I don't know what she likes. It's because she has everything she needs/wants & if she doesn't.. she'll go get it as soon as she wants it. LOL! So yes, she makes it pretty hard for my sister & I to get her something. So if your mom is anything like mine.. maybe some of the ideas above will help ya out this Mother's Day.
Some of these you can find on short notice at places like Target or Bed Bath & Beyond. My mom isn't tech savvy but she has a tablet and likes to read books on the Kindle App so I figured she'd be down for an Amazon gift card. Best part of a gift card like this is that you can email it to her on Sunday or print it out to give to her in a sweet greeting card. A sweet greeting card like the breast milk one up there LOL!
Polaroid cameras are a win no matter what age you are! Most moms love jewelry so I picked a heart ring from James Avery & a locket from Etsy. The pillow is super unique but definitely not something you could get on short notice.. unless you make it yourself. I picked a flower print from a friend of mine because I think moms love flowers but not so much when they die. This one will live forever and it's pretty damn gorgeous! The nail kit is a given. What mom wouldn't love one of those?! The only reason why I included an Ikea lamp is because for a while my mom was obsessed with finding the perfect night stand lamp. I don't quite think she found one she loves but this one is pretty basic. Mom & I are huge fans of Peach Iced Tea and this machine or one similar is definitely a plus in our family. Might buy this for myself soon LOL!
Hope you enjoy your Mother's Day whether you're a mom or not. Don't forget that if you have a four-legged child, you're technically a mama also. :) Have a great weekend everyone!

It's that awesome time of the year again! Comicpalooza is back and I am pumped! The first thing you should know is that it won't be here for three days like last year. It'll be here for FOUR days because it's Memorial Day weekend!! The second thing you should know is that I have FOUR tickets to give away for all FOUR days!

Little Man went to the vet for the third time yesterday. The left picture is Little Man at his first vet visit & the right one is from yesterdays visit. Amazing how much this kid has changed/grown in 28 days. He received two more shots, Rabies & Bordetella. He yelped a lot louder and longer with these vaccines than the first visit but treats fix everything. Treats were a huge help when weighing him too. He was far too excited so it took two treats to get him to stay put. Little Man weighed in at 7 lbs. this visit & he weighed in at 3.5 lbs. the first visit.
This is what happens after so much excitement, I'm sure you can relate :) Best news of the day was that in three weeks after his next check-up, he is free to go out and meet folks. First stop --> Boneyard Dog park to meet new kids & mingle with the humanfolks! We are giving him (and ourselves) a month to get him comfortable with a collar and leash before the park. It won't be easy but it is a must if we are going to get him adopted into a new home!
Just so you know, his first visit cost us $19, the second visit was $33 and this visit cost us $94. This is why his fund is so important. Please continue helping us with whatever you can afford to donate. $5 goes a very long way! If you cannot donate, please share his info. This kid doesn't have a voice of his own, we are his voice and I will be damned if he doesn't live a long, loving life! I mean, look at his face.. he's freaking amazeballs!
