Weekend Snapshots | 4th Weekend of February

Usual sister picture | My older sister Silvy (middle) is in town from Argentina

Mom, sisters and I

Beautiful tulips E and I found at Trader Joes

Tasty Pancake Cellars Big Day White Wine from Trader Joes

Lobster Tails from Trader Joes

Nomtastic Tilapia getting ready for the grill.

I spent all day Saturday with my mom and sisters since my older sister is in town for another week. We hit up the Premium Outlets in Cypress and shopped pretty much all day. As usual, we had fun talking smack to each other and hanging out :)

Last night E and I went to Trader Joes in search of some tasty wine and maybe sangria. We didn't find any sangria but we did buy a couple bottles of wine. I've been on this tiny wine kick, not sure what's going on. Since we love food, we bought a crap load of grub too. Funny because that same morning I hit HEB and did the damn thing. Our fridge and pantry are PACKED.. we'll tear it all up within the week. LOL! E grilled up the lobster tail and tilapia with veggies and we had ourself a fantastical dinner for two while watching TWD. Very romantical ;) I'm not sure if he planned it or if it just happened but today is our anniversary so we kind of celebrated early.

Two years ago today, E and I were married in the Cosmopolitan Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas. It was a magical and super entertaining trip for the both of us. E had never been to Vegas and we had never traveled out of Texas together. After sharing our lives together for four years, we figured it was time to do the damn thing. We were married on 02/24/12 at 12:24pm at the Pop-Up Wedding Chapel inside the Cosmo.

Happy Wedding Anniversary Handsomecakes!

Book Hangover - Divergent Trilogy

Found image on Google
I've been all about this series since I started last week. It took me a bit to read the first one cause of work and such but Saturday I read Insurgent and all day Sunday I read Allegiant. No weekend snapshots post due to not doing shizzle but reading and washing clothes at home LOL I didn't even touch my Project Life stuffs. Like most of you.. after reading a series I get a huge book hangover. All I see and think is that series. Weird how our minds work right? I know this book is aimed at young adults but dammit it is totally worth the read. I think the message the writer, Veronica Roth, gives out to our youth and even grown folks is pretty damn awesome! After reading the first one, I saw the trailer for the movie again and got excited. After finishing the series, I went back and watched the trailer again and I got goosebumps. I've got multiple books I want to start, I'm just not ready to let go of the Divergent world. Nerd much? ;)

At the heart of the story is a 16-year-old girl who leaves her family for a rival faction, where she faces a brutal initiation, even as she keeps a secret that could lead to her death. But when unrest grows between the factions, she must decide whether to reveal her true self in order to save the ones she loves.

If you haven't read the Divergent series and do not want any spoilers or read any parts of the book, please do not continue. I don't want to spoil the series or the movie for anyone.

SPOILER ALERT BELOW!!

Valentine's Day 2014

My husband isn't romantical. He is a very sweet man but not romantic whatsoever. After almost six years with him.. I've kinda just gotten used to it. I'm not sure I'd know how to react if he was super romantical LOL! When he goes out of his way for days like today or my birthday, it's a major surprise. I woke up this morning to let the kids out and feed them and found all of these awesome goodies waiting for me. He hits the gym before work so I don't see him in the morning. I'm kinda glad he wasn't there this morning though.. I was jumping up and down with a cookie butter jar in my hand and slipped and totally fell on my ass. I blame my socks and the stupid tile. Cookie butter is fine, me on the other hand.. yeah my ass hurts a little LOL

A little bit of Love..

I remember growing up my mom had this beautiful art frame in her room with the words from Corinthians 13:4-7..
Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trust, always hopes, always preserves.

That is what love means to me. It's an amazing feeling that should never make you sad or angry. It should make you smile in ways that no other feeling can. No one is perfect and I too forget some of the words above but I always make sure to show those that I care for how much I love them. I'm thinking of getting my own art frame with these words on it for my home.

If you know me, you know M&M's are my favorite so it was only natural that I would use them for this fantastical post of Love!

Happy Valentine's Day everyone!

Week 3 | Project Life 2014

Week 3's theme is green, obviously :) I included some things that stuck out this week like the best food ever. Breakfast! E cooks the best breakfast and it's even better when he cooks it for lunch! I went thrifting which is always entertaining. For Christmas my sister hooked me up with a Houstonia Magazine subscription and I received my first one this week. Very stoked about that. I've actually been buying the magazine since it came out last year. Houston proud huh? Lol!

Product's used: Midnight Edition - American Crafts | Blackboard Cards - We R Memory Keepers | "I love this" clear stamp - Studio Calico | Flea Market - American Crafts | Cut & Paste - American Crafts | Alphabet Stickers - Simple Stories | "*You are here" rubber stamp - Elise Joy

What is Project Life? Project Life is a memory-keeping system created by Becky Higgins. This is my first year doing Project Life. I don't have any of my journaling cards organized in any way, they're all kinda mixed up so telling you the products I use will always be a little crazy.

Workspace Wednesday | Project Life

I've been meaning to take pictures of my Project Life completed weeks but I keep forgetting. By the time I remember, it's late and the beautiful sunlight has left. For those that don't understand what I mean.. the pictures look better with no overhead light because of the glare.

Anyways, this is week three (January 13th to January 19th) still in progress. I like to add my pictures and note cards prior to any of my journaling. For some reason I made week two full of pink shades so I decided to make week three mostly green shades. My first week sucks big time so I might redo it or just never show it to anyone LOL I haven't figured out my themes yet or how I want to journal.. guess that's why I'm going with the color theme for each week.

I'm new to this and I love that there are no rules!
