Hope everyone had a fantastical Christmas! I know I did. I ate a lot, drank a lot, laughed a lot and just overall had a blast with my mom and sister. Santa hooked us all up, I'm guessing cause we were all so good this year LOL!

Hanging out with my mom and sister is always entertaining cause we feed off each others silliness! I think we all got what we wanted from Sandy Claws and boy are we grateful. Sandy Claws hooked me up with a Canon Selphy compact photo printer so of course I had to hit Ikea up to get frames for all the pictures I've been printing. It's really nice to have it at home and not have to send them to Walgreens.

I hit up Best Buy Friday to get ink and photo paper for the printer and found this badass camera on sale. A friend of mine has had a Sony camera for years and I've always drooled over it. I couldn't afford one so I was content with D, my Nikon D60. But when I saw this Sony Nex-3N in the SALE area, I knew I had to jump on it.

It was considered a display item and that's why it was on sale for $195 from $400. I asked to check it out, make sure it wasn't all banged up, especially the lens, and everything looked great. I walked around with it for a while and read some reviews online. The sales dude kept walking past me helping other folks and I kept asking him random questions about the warranty and if I could return it for a full refund if I changed my mind. In the end he said he would make the decision easier on me by dropping the price from $195 to $149. Had he said that shit from the beginning I would have totally jumped on it.

I bought a two year warranty for it at $40.. I say I got a fucking deal. I'm still working on getting to know it and I'm pumped to see the awesome shots! Definitely the best Christmas present I've ever bought myself.

Came back to work today after being off five days and my body is telling me I've made a mistake and to head back to bed LOL!

Hope you had a fantastical Christmas and have fun plans for the New Year!

KJ had her awesome onesie ready to go.

Beautiful set up by Jessica for the grub.

All the ladies from the Christmas Jammie Shindig.

My friend Jessica invited me to a Ladies Only Christmas Jammie Shindig at her casa in Austin. My plans were to leave early on Saturday but some things needed to be done to Fancy so I didn't leave till the early afternoon. Took me forever to get out of Houston thanks to the rain. Once on the road, it was smooth sailing. It was Fancy and I's first road trip and I think she did fantastical. Only took half a tank to get to Austin, not bad at all.

We ate a lot. We drank a lot. We giggled a lot. And we played Scattegories. I sucked really bad.. like really bad. It was fun to hang out with a group of females, even if I only knew the host LOL! I have the type of personality that allows me to have fun with strangers. Weirdo. Jessica was a great host! Not only did she feed me but she gave me a comfy bed to sleep in. I tried raw peppers for the first time, yellow red and orange. I think yellow is my favorite. Gift exchange went smoothly. We did a $10 ornament for the White Elephant game. I think two people got jacked but everyone was happy with what they got. I got a beautiful peacock and a pickle LOL!

My favorite part of the shindig was that everyone wore jammies. It wasn't a requirement to attend but I think it was cool frijoles that everyone did have one on instead of regular clothes.

My drive back home wasn't too bad. I try to find someone going fast that has a radar ;) Makes it easier to spot the coppers LOL! It was super windy and Fancy and I kept getting pushed around and shit. One thing I'll never understand when I'm on a road trip is why folks think it is okay to drive on the left lane. Left lane is for passing only. So unless you're going to pass the two 18 wheelers in one jump, move the eff over to the right people.

Friday Love 12.20.13 - Gifs that Crack Me Up!

Happy Friday everyone! For today's Friday Love post, I'm sharing some of my favorite celebrity gifs! Some of these make me laugh no matter how many times I watch them. Hope you enjoy them too!

Fancy and I were pulled over this morning for no front license plate. In Texas you have to have both plates, front and back or else you get a ticket. I haven't received mine so duh! I don't have any. I laughed at his ass and drove away ticket free.. I called the dealership to check on my plates and the lady told me my plates have been in for a week and a half. Gotta love that fantastical customer service LOL!

Today is my last working Friday of the year thank goodness. I'll work Monday and Tuesday of next week and then will be back at work on the 2nd.. which happens to be my one year anniversary with my employer. Crazy how fast this year went by. I don't know if its because I'm getting older or because I was distracted with random shit this year that I didn't catch it when the days, weeks and months started flying past me. Do you feel the same?!

I love me some Jennifer Lawrence so I'm adding this Buzzfeed link that is just faneffingtastic!

Christmas Cards 2013

As usual I procrastinated and didn't get my Christmas cards done early like I had planned. I had the cards for months and I knew who I wanted to send it to but I really haven't been spending too much time in my craft room. I get home late from work and the fantastical traffic in my wonderful city and all I want to do is sit in front of the TV. And since I was behind on my shows, I really enjoyed sitting in front of the TV. I think I want to change that a bit come next year. Maybe not watch as much TV as I do now.. we'll see how that goes LOL!

I sent out ten cards this year so if ya didn't get one it was probably cause I didn't have your address or I don't give a crap about you. I kid, I kid LOL!!

Did you send out cards this year? Did you make them yourself or buy some already made? I bought mine at IKEA and they are UNICEF cards. I added some words and the Snoopy stamp on the envelope. I did see some washi tape cards that woulda been cool to make but again I'm a procrastinator LOL

Happy Hump Day!

Weekend Snapshots - 2nd Weekend in December

  • I went thrifting this weekend. Usually I wouldn't be interested in a couch like this.. it's red and leather. But this one was actually comfortable and very soft. $2,500 just isn't in my budget ;]
  • This painting was gorgeous! Colorful and everyone looks like they are having a good time. The details on the frame are ridiculous. $1,100 isn't in my budget either ;]
  • E & I went to the Argentina Cafe and went to town on some nomtastic Argentinian grub.
  • My beautiful girl, Leana Little, as usual in my grill when I'm snacking trying to give me the sad face so I can give her some. No siree Bob!
Its been a while since I've gone thrifting and my brain must have been set on going because I woke up early, showered and got dressed super quick. For the first time ever I was able to hit all three of my favorite shops. Didn't have much luck but I did buy some goodies I'm pretty excited about. More on that later. The rest of Saturday was me sitting in front of the TV catching up on some shows before their season finales.

Sunday was a super lazy day. I didn't leave till late afternoon and when I did leave.. it was to go grub with E. We hit up the Argentinian Cafe in the Galleria area. I've been to a couple Argentinian restaurants in Houston and this one is truly my favorite. My dad always gives me shit about it cause he's convinced there's a better one closer to his house. Whatevs! The milanesa here is NOMS!! We also had empanadas and dessert!! I also love the atmosphere here. There's people from all over the place, not just Argentinians. Plus, I love hearing people from my country shooting the shit. I curse a lot, in English and Spanish, so it's awesome to hear them do the same!
