Image: Stamp I bought at Urban Outfitters

  1. A shirt from teesprings.com with the words I love Big Sacks - Swatt Team dedicated to Houston Texans JJ Watt.
  2. Jack Skellington Cupcakes!!
  3. 25 things every woman needs to know. A very good read.
  4. Hey you suck at parking cards for those fantastical moments when you just need to share what you're thinking: :)
  5. 101 uses for Coconut oil. Who knew you could use it in so many ways.
  6. DIY Christmas cards. I know it's early but this is a cute idea. I would probably print the cards with the photos myself just like the photo-booth looking pictures.
  7. Skull printables. I'd show you the one I made but it's flippity floppy. Need thicker paper. Click the ReadyMech link and get all sorts of Halloween printables.
  8. 18 things you probably didn't know about The Nightmare before Christmas- One of my favs.
  9. Lawndale Art Center's 26th Annual Dia de los Muertos shebang.
  10. What to do if someone steals your blog content.
It's been a while since I've done one of these and this one is a super random link line-up.

Happy Hump Day!

Fourth Weekend of October

  • Leana Little and my husband love smushing me on the couch
  • Coldass Bombshell Blonde from Poison Girl
  • Bumpy pumpkins from Randalls give me the shivers
  • My last picture taken with Gracie
I had to put a sad face on my face cause not only did I look busted but I was tearing up. See, I sold Gracie on Sunday. I sold her to get a newer and more reliable car.. that doesn't make it easier on me though. I've had Gracie for a little over six years and even though she's my second car.. I paid her off on my own. We've been through a lot and she's been fantastical to me. I know it sounds a bit childish and funny but I did cry when we drove off. I'm not very good with change, I'm trying to get better about that.

The great news is that I am picking up a new car today. I'm excited and nervous... it's all super bittersweet. My parents bought my first car before my twenties. I got my second car in my twenties and now my third car at the end of my twenties. E said it was time for an adult car and I agree but that doesn't mean I don't miss my bug.

After I told my dad that I was sad about Gracie he sent me a text saying VIVA EL FUTURO! Which kinda translates to Live for the future or something similar. Guess he's trying to tell me not to think about the past and be happy with what the future holds for me. Still, how can I mourn my old car if I'm supposed to be excited about my new car yanno?! I'm sure my mourning will be over as soon as I drive my new car home Lol! Thinking of doing a poll for a new name.. new car is black and I want something clever. Stay on the look out for that. :)

Hope you had a great weekend!

Third Weekend of October

  • Visited Ikea with mom dukes and my sister
  • Found a Where's Waldo chocolate bar at Marshall's
  • I had no idea Taco Bell had a chocolate taco dessert kit. Crazy!
  • Frame at Ikea that always makes me giggle

Met up with The Houston Latina Bloggers on Saturday morning at Cafe Express for our first monthly meeting. I enjoy hanging out with these ladies, not only are they smart chicks with fantastical ideas but they are genuinely nice people! Can't wait to see the awesome things the future holds for us.

After lunch I met up with my mom and sister and hit up Ikea. I actually controlled myself and spent like $20. Gasp I know it's horrible and it wasn't that I didn't have money. I just didn't see anything I had to have yanno. Sometimes it's okay to go to a favorite store and just look around without purchasing anything. It can help ya get familiar with the merchandise for future ideas yanno. Looking online or a magazine isn't the same as seeing it in person either.

Watched the Houston Texans game on Sunday and even though we didn't win.. E & I are very impressed with how the team played. Case Keenum definitely showed his skills and the offense worked well with him. Sucks that Arian Foster is out with a hamstring situation and that our poor Brian Cushing is out with a broken fibula and a torn LCL. Hope both guys get better soon but chances of Cushing coming back this season are pretty low.

Hope you had a great weekend!

Friday Love 10.18.13 - Go Texans

This Sunday the Houston Texans will be starting a new quarterback against the undefeated Kansas City Chiefs, hence the Friday Love. His name is Case Keenum and not only will it be his first time starting but it'll be his first NFL game since he joined the Texans before the start of the 2012 season. I cannot imagine the pressure and the stress this dude has on his shoulders right now. One things for sure, he will put everything he's got on this game. He's been working for this his entire life and I'm sure it'll show on Sunday.

Wishing Keenum and the rest of the team mucho luck! We got this boys! GO TEXANS!!

..till next time ;]

P.S. E & I bought our first piece of Houston Texans merch ever. We've been superstitious about buying any gear and messing everything up LOL! I bought Gracie (VW) and Tom Ford (F-150) the Houston Texans license plate frame I added on this post. <3

Second Weekend of October

  • The Chinita Gordita, Anahì Sin is growing up super fast. She was pissed cause we had her in the rain to check out the food truck fest.
  • What the day looked like at the food truck fest. Super bummed about the weather
  • Thought the license plate on this V-Dub new bug was unique
  • Downloaded 'Dead Me' from the app store and made myself into a weird looking zombie.

Showed up to the Haute Wheels Food Truck Fest with my friend Jessica and her sweet kid Anahì only to be disappointed that the rain wasn't planning on stopping. We chose not to drop $16 on an event that was going to frustrate us. I mean the food was calling our nose like crazy, but we just didn't think it would be any fun.

E and I hit the Redbox up and rented This is the End and Pain & Gain. One of these was so damn entertaining, I couldn't stop laughing and snorting haha! The other was sooooooooooooooo long and I lost interest really fast. Can you guess which one?! Lol, maybe this will help- I plan on buying This is the End very soon. Lol! I laughed throughout the entire movie and kept saying holy shizzle cause things kept popping up so unexpectedly. Definitely recommend this movie. Pain & Gain, I totally could have done without. Maybe if it hadn't been so long maybe we would have liked it. It kept getting stupider and stupider and I'm a fan of Mark Wahlberg. Maybe I had high hopes.. but it wasn't my cup of tea.

The Walking Dead came back last night and it was a slow start but I have a feeling this season is going to be interesting. I did think last nights episode was kinda boring and slow.. I think my main problem with this series is that it's so predictable. There have been a couple of episodes that surprised me but last nights wasn't one of them.

I don't want to talk about the Texans and the weaksauce that is the entire team.

Happy Birthday John Lennon!

Happy Birthday John Lennon!

"If everyone demanded peace instead of another television set, then there'd be peace."

"Count your age by friends, not years. Count your life by smiles, not tears."

"Love is the flower you've got to let grow."

"A mistake is only an error, it becomes a mistake when you fail to correct it."

"I believe in God, but not as one thing, not as an old man in the sky. I believe that what people call God is something in all of us. I believe that what Jesus and Mohammed and Buddha and all the rest said was right. It's just that the translations have gone wrong."

"Reality leaves a lot to the imagination."

"Music is everybody's possession. It's only publishers who think that people own it."

"Everything is clearer when you're in love."

"As usual, there is a great woman behind every idiot."

"All you need is love."

Ten of the quotes I really like.

NY style #pizza in #Houston. Apparently I was so excited to eat that I forgot to post it #noms #BrothersPizzeria #houtx @yougottaeatthis #yougottaeatthis #nomtastic
  • E's new truck, Tom Ford, getting washed for the first time
  • E's brokeass car getting towed out of our garage after a year and half
  • October's Houstonia Magazine edition
  • Brother's Pizzeria's large NY style pizza

I'm hoping to share at least four pictures every Monday of the previous weekend. I'm totally crossing my fingers that I'll stick to this :] I had a great weekend except the end when the Texans lost. I'm still a fan though, I could never give up on my team!

Gracie finally got her garage back when Taz, E's dead car, was finally picked up and taken far, far away! And since Tom Ford is too big to fit in the garage, she doesn't have to share. #winning. This Houstonia Magazine is full of nomtastic food in Houston & I'm loving it. I've been buying this magazine since it came out a couple of months ago and it's a great read. I couldn't find the September Edition anywhere so I'm a bit sad about that. Might hit them up and see if they have any extras they'd be interested in parting with. I should just get a subscription huh? Yeah I'll set that up soon.

..till next time ;]

I sent a tweet to Houstonia Magazine to see if they would sell me a copy of September's edition..

These folks are awesomesauce! Definitely check them out.

In Memory of Opie Patch

My 'In MEMORY of OPIE' patch arrived today. Yeah it's that serious. #soa #sonsofanarchy #mc #ripopie #soafan #dontjudgeme #fx #fanhard @officialsoa

Yeah I went there. Don't judge me. Opie's death was extremely heart breaking in my house. Ever since Opie died, SOA just hasn't been the same. Lots of things have happened since his death and a lot of bad decisions have been made. Still, all the fans miss Opie and what he brought to the show. Of course when this season of SOA started, we all noticed the new patch Jax had on his vest saying 'In MEMORY of OPIE' and we probably all rushed to the internet to find one. Or maybe that was just me LOL! I bought mine right away but it was lost somewhere along the way so I contacted the seller and they sent me another one. I received it yesterday and cannot wait to put it on my military style crossover bag that I bought at the Houston Roller Derby bout last month.

Even though Opie was a fictional character.. Rest in Peace Opie.
