Trader Joe's

Paper bag that held my groceries ;p

A couple of months ago Houston opened it's first Trader Joe's grocery store. You know, the unique neighborhood grocery store with organic and environmentally friendly grub?! Maybe you've heard of it, maybe you haven't..  it's cool though because I did the research for you Lol..

Based in Monrovia, California, Trader Joe's has 300+ stores in the US. About half of those are located in California. The rest are scattered around the country and Houston is one of those lucky cities. :] Not one Trader Joe's, but two! One is still under construction but still..that's TWO!

Trader Joe's buys directly from suppliers and sells it under their own name. This isn't like going to Randalls, Krogers, or whatever grocery store you have. During my first visit, I noticed that most of the food there was new to me. I'd never heard of it or even imagined it. Frozen chocolate covered banana slices - Never even heard of this but it's the best thing known to man!! Srsly. A friend told me about them and the TJ's employee that showed me where they were made it a point to tell me that I needed two boxes. Lol, he was not lying!

Anyways, check out my finds and let me know what you recommend for my next trip. :]

$1.99 for a box of two - Definitely recommend these.

$2.99 for a box of four - Guess it's for kids but I love me some apple sauce.

$1.99 for a bar of awesome milk chocolate.

$1.99 for the best dessert ever!

$2.99 for a bag of these - Bought two and dude charged me for three :/

$1.99 for this bag of delightful nomnoms..

$2.29 for this jar of happiness. I've been dipping the Pita chips (above) in this. NOMNOMS

$.99 - Spicy brown mustard makes ERTHANG taste good haha!
For the rest of the goodies I found at Trader Joe's visit my flickr page here.

So after seeing my finds, what do you recommend I buy the next time I visit Trader Joe's?!

..till next time ;]
